From increased levels of cover including a £5m public and products liability limit, working dog cover, household and contents cover to new environmental legislation liability cover, this prestigious smallholder insurance policy is currently unrivalled in the insurance market. We even cover liability whilst showing your prize livestock at shows. The policy also incorporates a No Claims Bonus scheme to reward you year on year.
What does the cover include?
Our policy caters uniquely for smallholders and small farms and is available for enterprises up to 100 acres.
It offers protection for the lifestyle and activities that most smallholders and small farms undertake. Our smallholder insurance policy covers the following use of land:
- Arable, hay, straw, cereal and other crop farming
- Livestock farming and ownership (including beef, sheep, pig, poultry, goats etc)
- Animal Husbandry
- Farmers Markets
- Bed & Breakfast accommodation for up to 6 guests
- Caravan or Tenting accommodation
- DIY livery stables for up to 4 (or 6) liveries
- Employees wages not exceeding £5,000 (or £7,500) per annum
- Land with farm buildings used by you or tenants for farming purposes
- Land can often include adjacent living quarters for the smallholder
